Art II

COURSE DESCRIPTION:  Prerequisite: Cumulative GPA of 3.0 in Art I and a Portfolio Review.  This class teaches students skills in two-dimensional art media with an emphasis on the planning and drafting of portfolio-quality artwork.  The class is meant to develop an expertise with a variety of media while at the same time developing themes of their art.  Critiques are an important part of this class, as well.  Students are expected to maintain a sketchbook in which they will complete weekly drawing assignments.
