ART I 
Art 1 teaches students the fundamentals of
visual art. Each unit in Art I is designed around an art
element/principle, an artist/style, and a subject/concept. Art appreciation is stressed in each unit. Tests
and quizzes are given to assess student mastery of each unit. Students are required to maintain a sketchbook in which they are to
complete drawing assignments (click on "Sketchbook" tab below.) ART I IS A REQUIRED
COURSE FOR ALL STUDENTS INTENDING ON TAKING MORE ADVANCED DRAWING/PAINTING
CLASSES SUCH AS ART 2 AND BEYOND.
