Text Box: IPS is a course that is usually taken by Sophomores but can be taken by Juniors and Seniors as well. It is a course that incorporates many teaching/learning methods which are designed to reach many different learning styles. The class work includes traditional lecture/discussion formats utilizing student note taking skills, along with individual/group activities, labs and projects to help students learn science by doing. In order to succeed in this course students need to be in class every day so they can benefit from the in-class activities that will not be able to be made up when a student is absent. It is a challenging, college prep course that will prepare students by improving their independent and group work skills.
