Why a Foundation for a Public High School?

• Funding for public education comes from a mixture of federal, state and local taxes.  Within this funding process, political influences frequently determine levels of funding that may not give priority to the community's educational expectations.  As a tax deductible organization, the BBCHS Academic Foundation takes on the needs above and beyond what the local tax base can afford and what the current educational system can provide.
